Backup Power

Not sure if this goes on the wiki, or here, but this is a start to my guide on using an electric vehicle as emergency power.\ \ The key part of the design is to attach an adapter to the 12V battery. Then this line can feed into a DC-to-AC inverter. This is just one approach, there are many different approaches. Each electric car has a DC-to-DC converter that will supply around 100-200A of power (depending on car) to the 12V battery as long as the high voltage battery is charged. In my design, I put a 100A fuse on the input side of the AC inverter.
